Alpaca Experience
The story of friendship between humans and llamas and alpacas begins a very long time ago in South America. Today in Chianciano Terme let yourself also be ideally transported to the Andes plateau and put yourself in the shoes of ancient peoples who used these animals as traveling companions. Casanova dei Fucoli Natural Riding
Our history as Casanova dei Fucoli, began in 2008, when we decided to purchase these lands that have a long history. It was here, in fact, that the Etruscans had an important settlement of which we still have numerous traces, and it was here that the important road connecting Clusium (Chiusi), the Valdichiana, the Val d’Orcia and the Via Francigena passed. The property had been in a state of complete abandonment for many decades, and we worked over time to restore the olive grove, land, woods and all structures, taking care to certify the farm as organic.
With the same respect for all aspects of nature, we are involved in the production of extra virgin olive oil and the production of fodder for feeding horses. In addition, for some time now we have begun the experience of the synergistic garden.
Our goal is to create a place of well-being and harmony for horses and people, where people can experience what a respectful and conscious approach to these proud animals means and can learn how to communicate with them, from the ground and in the saddle.
Not only natural horsemanship school then, but activities ranging from observing horses in herds, to horse-mediated growth seminars, through activities with children with different abilities and elderly people living in RSAs. Our experience tells us that getting close to horses is always a unique and enriching experience.
Our estate is over XX hectares, most of which is forest. There are currently more than 30 horses living there divided into various herds. Many are retired by us, most are from the association, which in several cases has taken charge of them, saving them from a sad fate. But to us, everyone is equal, and everyone participates in the life and activities of Casanova dei Fucoli, each for what he or she can.
Our facilities include several roundabouts, a honeycomb and a mountain trail course.
Our center is open to all those, riders and non-riders, who share with us a passion for horses; whether they want to learn how to ride, or just want to approach and discover the world of these magnificent and generous animals.
