Theia, "she who shines from afar," was the mother of Selene in Etruscan mythology, and the thermal pools are named after her. The facility features four outdoor and three indoor pools, interconnected to provide over 500 square meters of relaxation in basins fed by the Sillene spring water. The properties of these thermal waters have been known since Etruscan and Roman times, as evidenced by numerous archaeological finds in the area. The pools at Theia Pools are enhanced by water jets and whirlpools, equipped with loungers (and umbrellas in the outdoor area), offer Wi-Fi connection, and provide bar and restaurant services. Non-slip slippers and swim caps can be purchased on-site, and towels and bathrobes are available for rent. The waters of the Theia Pools, rich in carbon dioxide, calcium carbonate, bicarbonate, and sulfates—which give them their typical opacity—not only generate a feeling of true relaxation but also exert an anti-inflammatory action on the musculoskeletal system and a restorative (eutrophic) effect on the skin. The water temperature ranges between 33°C and 36°C, and even the outdoor pools can be enjoyed in all seasons. Theia Pools also feature an inviting Wellness Center with a sauna, Turkish bath, rasul, emotional showers, and a relaxation area. Theia thermal pools are also perfect for children, with a dedicated KIDS area featuring indoor and outdoor pools, games, and Dry and Wet Caves where temperatures are adjusted for little ones. It is, therefore, a facility perfectly suited for families with young children wishing to enjoy a few hours of total relaxation.
